She/her pronouns Eva is the key to the success and future of our business. She is the recipe creator and kitchen manager. The flavors, the secrets of our food and the creativity behind our tamales comes from Eva. She has been making tamales for over 20 years since arriving to the U.S. as an undocumented immigrant. Now a legal resident, Eva is an example of what immigrants can contribute to a community and our local economy. Eva can be seen making tamales through our windows at the shop. He/him pronouns Dennis grew up in Seattle and has lived in Ballard his entire life. After working for over 7 years at Seattle Children's Research Center as a cancer Research Scientist, Dennis decided to pursue a career in brewing. Dennis completed his Masters in Brewing from the University of California in Davis and refined his brewer skills at Hellbent Brewing where he worked as a brewer. Dennis is an avid skier but first learned to snowboard as a young teenager. He loves to backpack and long bike rides in the summer days in the PNW. Dennis and Osbaldo are proud parents of two pups who demand more attention than the business itself. YuliWindow team

He/him pronouns Joel has been a part of our team since 2019. He started with Frelard as a customer service rep running our booths at weekend markets and local breweries. Since the pandemic started, Joel's role switched to be part of our delivery team and also helping us run our window where he serves you our tamales. Joel is known for his respect of others and positive attitude with the team. Joel joined Frelard after moving to the PNW from the East Coast. BlancaTamale production & window service team
She/her pronouns Blanca has been a part of our team since 2018. Blanca comes with many years of kitchen experience working in various food establishments in the Eastside. She is a crucial part of our tamales production team as she keeps things moving by mixing the masa, heating oils, dishwashing and tying tamales. You might also run into her at the window when coverage is needed and I am sure you won't forget her sweet and kind human nature. She/her pronouns Juanita joined our team in 2021 and has been helping us produce by hand all the tamales you've come to love. This is what she had to say about herself: Soy una persona que me gusta trabajar en equipo siempre con la disposición de ayudar y aprender. Me considero una persona alegre con una actitud positiva. Cuando llegue a los tamales honestamente conocía muy poco de la producción porque era la primera vez que trabajaba en un restaurante de este tipo, pero con el tiempo he logrado aprender un poco de todo y siempre trato de dar lo mejor de mi en lo que hago.

JavierAssistant chef & handyman - married to Eva
He/him pronouns Javier comes with over 25 years of kitchen experience. A former cook at Azteca Mexican Restaurants and the Bellevue Convention Center, Javier provide key kitchen assistance to keep the tamale production going. Equally important, Javier is a handyman who fixes things that break at the shop. Before working in kitchens, Javier worked in the fields of eastern Washington picking fruit. A farm worker since his youth, Javier moved from the farm to the city in the late 1990s. Javier is married to Eva and is the father of Osbaldo, co-owner. He/him pronouns Osbaldo was born in Mexico and moved to the U.S. at the age of 11. Osbaldo is a former high school social studies teacher who worked in three different school districts working with students at-risk and unhoused families. Osbaldo also worked for Sen. Patty Murray as a constituent services representative before landing at the Department of Neighborhoods at the City of Seattle. Osbaldo, like his mother, was undocumented for over 9 years before becoming a legal permanent resident and now citizen. She/her pronouns Marlen has been a member of our team since 2018. You are familiar with her because she is one of our main customer service reps who is usually helping you at the window. She is also a huge component of the production line of tamales by helping tie and pack tamales. She is known for her friendly and quick service, Marlen is our window expert. He/him pronouns William has been a member of our in-house delivery team and window customer service team since early 2021. William is a very kind human who pays a lot of attention to detail and provides friendly customer service. He was born in Seattle and has lived in the area his entire life. William spends his time outside of work volunteering at community groups such as U District Food Bank, hiking in the forested Seattle parks, and trying out new restaurants with his friends and family. She/her pronouns Miguelina has been a part of our team since early 2019. Miguelina started at Frelard as a booth operator but also provided kitchen assistance helping with salsa and sauce production. When the pandemic started, her roles switched and took over our online orders & delivery coordination. She is the person responding to all online orders and helping our delivery team get to your door. Miguelina is a mother of two and lives with her husband in Snohomish County. She/her pronouns Irimar joined the team late 2020. Very quickly she mastered the skills needed to help at the production table by learning to tie and organize tamales. She comes with years of experience in working at other restaurants. She wrote this about herself: I am a happy person, I like to help and work in a team, and I have always thought that there are no more limitations than the ones we put on. I am one of the people who thinks that each beginning is a new opportunity to do things better, that is why each day has a new dawn and with it a new beginning. MaritzaTamale production
